DEL MONTE SQUARE PRESENTS THE SAN FRANCISCO TOMATO & OLIVE OIL FESTIVAL TO BENEFIT SAN FRANCISCO FOOD BANK
THE CANNERY at Del Monte Square will host The San Francisco Tomato and Olive Oil Festival on Saturday, September 16, from noon to 4pm in celebration of its history as the largest fruit and vegetable packing facility in the world as Del Monte Plant #1. The event, which includes tasting of wines, salsas, olive oils, tomato dishes and specialty foods, fresh produce, cooking demonstrations, kids? activities and live entertainment, will benefit the San Francisco Food Bank. The event is free and open to the public.

Cristina Gershey, Culinary Director of Oakville Grocery, and several of San Francisco?s leading chefs will be on hand for cooking demonstrations making use of heirloom tomatoes and olive oil. Live entertainment on Saturday will include music from opera singers Robert Close and Litz Plummer on the Lark Stage.
