Former It's A Beautiful Day Star Performs at THE CANNERY on Sunday, July 4th
San Francisco, CA - The David LaFlamme Band will be performing at San Francisco's historical marketplace, THE CANNERY on the 4th of July, 2004 from 6-8 p.m. The David LaFlamme Band features the former It's a Beautiful Day star violinist/singer/songwriter. The event is FREE to the public. Live music all day beginning at 9 am.
The band's CD, Beyond Dreams was introduced early summer 2003, and may be purchased at the concert or ordered online at www.davidlaflamme.com.
LaFlamme is best known as the creator of the hit song "White Bird," while also performing as lead singer/violinist and composer for the group, It's A Beautiful Day. Long recognized as one of the most talented and versatile violinists in the world, LaFlamme's intrigue in the violin started at the early age of four. By the age of 18 he was performing as first violinist with the Utah Symphony. In the late '60s LaFlamme was an icon in the San Francisco Fillmore East and West underground music scene; his music growing to an international groundswell in less than three years.
LaFlamme's group, It's A Beautiful Day, broke through the pop charts with a platinum album of the same name, forever immortalized by the hit song "White Bird," which stayed on Billboard's Top 10 chart for several weeks. David LaFlamme and It's a Beautiful Day's second album, Marrying Maiden was followed shortly after by It's A Big Bad Beautiful Day, then Live at Carnegie Hall. All were on the Columbia/Sony Record label. From there, he continued songwriting, and produced solo album White Bird + Inside Out, with Strawberry Records then producing Creed of Love.
He has performed with a wide diversity of music's best, including Billy Joel, Santana, Chuck Berry, Jefferson Airplane, The Doors, The Beach Boys, Jimmy Hendrix, and dozens of other international musicians. LaFlamme's timeless music, including new selections on Beyond Dreams, resonates with a unique contemporary blend of rock, bluegrass, and classical music.
Today, the David LaFlamme Band (David LaFlamme-violin and vocal, Linda LaFlamme-vocal, Val Fuentes-drums, Toby Gray-bass guitar, Rob Espinosa-guitar, and Gary Thomas-keyboards) are performing nationwide, attracting their strong fan base, as well as new generations who are mesmerized by his signature
style.
